Midnapore Read-A-Thon

We are excited to share that Midnapore school, and our amazing school council are teaming up for our 2026 Midnapore School Read-a-thon challenge. Every student will be competing to see who can read the most minutes, and who can raise the most money. While this is a fundraiser, our primary focus is on fostering a love of reading and celebrating the time students dedicate themselves to developing this essential skill. This initiative is also closely connected to our April Literacy Month celebrations where the most important aspect is focused on individuals who read the most minutes.

During a recent assembly, we spoke with students about the importance of reading: Practicing regularly strengthens reading skills, builds confidence and fluency, and develops a lifelong love of reading. We also highlighted that reading helps the brain grow, sparks imagination, and opens the door to learning new things every day. We are excited to see our students challenge themselves, explore new stories, and grow as readers.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us inspire a community of enthusiastic, lifelong readers.
