Princpal Update
Good afternoon, Midnapore Families. Please read important information in the week below.
National Indigenous Peoples Day Recognition – Monday, June 22- Orange Shirt Day
On Monday, June 22, Midnapore School will recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day. Celebrated annually on June 21, this day honors the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada.
June 21 was chosen because it coincides with the summer solstice, a time of spiritual significance, celebration, and renewal for many Indigenous communities.
As part of this recognition, all classes will participate in individual land-based learning activities connected to the new social studies curriculum.
We encourage all students to wear an orange shirt on Monday to help recognize and honor this important day.

Mandarin Program
Grade 1 students enjoyed a field trip to Ralph Klein Park to learn about wetlands. During our visit, we discovered how this man-made wetland helps maintain a balanced ecosystem and supports a variety of living things. Students were especially fascinated by the amazing aquatic invertebrates found in the pond water and learned about their important role in the wetland habitat.
