Good afternoon, Midnapore Families. Please read important information in the week below.

Transportation is now Open for Registration for next year 

Families are now able to apply for yellow school bus service for the 2026-27 school year. Service levels and fees are outlined below. Registration is available through MyCBE. (If you do not already have an account, learn how.) 

Families must apply by Sunday, June 14, 2026 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year. We continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 14 deadline will be delayed. It may take until mid-October before your child is able to ride the bus. 

Confirmed routes will be posted in MyCBE in August. 

Read-a-thon Announcement 

We are excited to share the winners of our Read-a-thon challenge.  On Tuesday, we will be hosting an in-school celebration to share the individual and class winners.  Our students should be very proud of their individual and group achievements.  Thank you for your hard work and support as we collectively raised over $20,000.  Our school council and learning community thank you and value your commitment to our literacy initiative. 

2026-2027 Kindergarten Registration

Registration opened January 12, 2026 and is ongoing. Please click the Kindergarten Registration link for information and process.

School Council Meeting 

Thank you to those who attended our most recent School council meeting.  Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 8th.  During our final council meeting we will host our annual AGM meeting to nominate and name our elected members for the 2026/27 school year.

Mandarin Program 

May is Asian Heritage Month! This is a time to celebrate the many cultures, languages, and traditions from countries across Asia! This month, we invite Midnapore School to be curious, respectful, and excited to learn something new each day.  Staff have planned many fun activities in the Learning Commons for students to explore- please stay tuned!
