School Council Meeting
We are excited to bring back our In-person meetings. On Monday, December 1st we welcome parents to attend our meeting at Midnapore School. If you’re not able to attend in-person, please join us online using the link below. Doors open at 6pm and our meeting will start at 6:30pm. Our parents will be celebrating their hard work during the casino with pizza. Please come celebrate your hard work at 6pm and enjoy some of Sammy’s Pizza.

CNY Update
At this time, we would like to share an update on our Mandarin Program New Year’s celebration. After consulting with our partner schools, we have made the decision to refocus our efforts on ensuring teaching and learning remain our top priority, especially given the number of instructional days that have been lost.
Moving forward, we will rotate our evening New Year’s celebration between the North and South schools. As a result, there will not be an evening New Year’s celebration at Panabaker School this year.
We are excited to share, however, that we will be hosting an in-school New Year’s celebration at Midnapore School in late February. We will provide more information in the New Year about our plans so that parents can attend and take part in this important celebration.

因为今年错失了一些学习的时间，与Panabaker中学商讨后我们决定将春节庆祝活动精简化，把宝贵的时间放在教学与学习上。因此，今年我们不会与中学共同举办春节庆祝晚会。美纳博小学将于二月底自己在校内举办。更多详情我们会在冬假后与您分享！感谢您一直以来对我们中英双语项目的支持！
Winter Concert- Midnapore goes to the Movies
We are excited to share that we will be hosting our Winter Concert celebration for families on Thursday, December 18. To ensure we follow fire code regulations and maintain safe capacity in the gym, we will be offering two showtimes:
- Students with last names A–M: 10:00–11:30 a.m.
- Students with last names N–Z: 1:00–2:30 p.m.
Ms. Morin has been working hard to prepare for our “Midnapore Goes to the Movies” event. Both performances will be the same, so families only need to attend the show that corresponds with their child’s last name.
In the spirit of giving, we are also inviting families to bring a non-perishable food item or any donation they feel comfortable contributing. These items will go directly toward supporting Midnapore families in need during this holiday season.
We look forward to sharing this celebration with you!

Choir Members – Practice Slides
Our choir members have been working hard on some beautiful harmonies for the upcoming winter concert! Since our noon hour practice time is so short, it would be very helpful for them to practice their parts at home. In addition to the lyrics and QR code sheet sent home, practice slides can be accessed by clicking here.
School Photos
Dear parents,
School pictures are ready!
Your child’s school pictures are now available! To view them online, please log in to your account at mylifetouch.ca. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one using your email address. You’ll need your student’s ID number to locate their photos.
Important: If you don’t know your student’s ID number, please do not contact the school. Paper proofs containing your login credentials will be sent to your home shortly, allowing you to view the images online.
Bonus: All families can also order a FREE digital Pictures2Protect Card—a great way to keep your child’s photo and emergency info handy. Learn more about the Pictures2Protect program here.

Open House
We are excited to share that Midnapore School’s Open house date for new families will be Wednesday, January 7 at 6:00pm. This Open house is for families interested in attending our Mandarin Language Program for grades K-4. We will have our Kindergarten Open house for new families in the Spring. Mandarin Team Update
Wednesday, January 7, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM is our Open House for the Mandarin Bilingual Program. If you know families who are interested in learning Mandarin, please help spread the word! We have prepared flyers, which you can request from your child’s teacher or share on social media to help more families learn about our Mandarin Bilingual Program.
