Dear Families, we would like to wish our students and families a restful long weekend. We hope you all have a chance to spend time with family and friends. A reminder that there is no school tomorrow, Friday, April 18. There is also no school on Monday, April 21 as it is a professional learning day for staff. We look forward to seeing you all next Tuesday morning.
Grade 5/6 Respect Assembly
We are excited for our Grade 5 & 6 sharing's and teachings of respect. On Wednesday, April 20 at 10am our Grade 5’s and 6’s will be welcoming our students, staff and parents to the gym to introduce our next Sacred teaching. Please join us if you are able. Our doors will open at 9:45am and we will bring students down right after recess.

Chantal Is back!!!!
We are excited to welcome Chantal back to Midnapore School. Chantal has been working with all students at Midnapore school through Indigenous teachings and drumming. She will be spending time with specific classrooms on Thursday, April 24. At 10:30 Chantal will be sharing our learnings with teachers and parents in our drumming assembly. Please join us if you are able to. Doors will open at 10:15am.
Transportation
On May 24 & 25, the CBE and its partners are offering the My 1st Ride bus orientation program. This free event is designed to familiarize students with the experience of taking the yellow bus to and from school. The orientation is aimed at first-time riders and students with special transportation needs.
Have you Moved?
Have you changed your address / community during the school year? Please notify Ms. Ross plross@cbe.ab.ca if your address has changed since September 2024. We are required by Alberta Education to hold update information.
Also, if you are aware that you are not returning for the 2025/26 school year please inform Ms. Ross in the office. If you are returning next year, there is no need to do anything.

School Fees
Please go to your MyCBE account and ensure that you are up to date on paying for your field trips or musical instruments etc. Thank you and if you have any questions or concerns or need assistance, please give me a call in the office at 403-777-8680 or come in and we can help you with payment by cash, cheque or visa/mastercard.
Federal Election Site
Please note we are a federal election site for April 28. There will be limited access to our building through the front door during this day. There will also be an increased amount of traffic at the front of the school during drop off and pickup.

Please note our next School council meeting will be held on April 28. Please click on the link below if you would like to attend through the online option. We will also be meeting in-person if you would like to attend. Our meeting will be at 6:30pm at Midnapore school.
