Dear Families

Happy Chinese New Year to all the families of Midnapore School! This Wednesday, January 29, marks the first day of the Chinese New Year, and we’ve had a wonderful time celebrating here at school. Our students enjoyed making traditional crafts and participating in cultural activities. A huge thank you to all the families who celebrated with us by sending snacks and good wishes – your generosity means so much! We also want to extend a big thank you to the Parent Council for their incredible support. Thanks to you, we all got to enjoy a delicious Chinese lunch, and it was a truly memorable experience for everyone!

Cree8 Residency

We are excited to share that our Cree8 Residency will begin this week.  We are thrilled to welcome Chantal Changon an Indigenous knowledge keeper back to Midnapore School.  Chantal is a returning friend to our school and has done smudging, drumming and supported our overall building around indigenous ways of being and knowing.  We are excited to welcome her back and can’t wait to restart this partnership.  All students in our school will have an opportunity to work with Chantal over the next few weeks.  We would also like to welcome parents to an introductory assembly on Monday, February 3 at 10:50am and to thank and acknowledge our school council who have supported this residency.  We can’t wait!

Kindergarten Registration Opens
