Dear Families, thank you to those who attended our school council last evening. We were excited to share our School engagement, School report, connections to our school development plan and our overall budget report.  We appreciate those who gave feedback and those who completed the school engagement survey.  Please see the school engagement information below for those who were unable to attend. During our school council meeting we also had sharing's from our Grade 1 and 2 students.  Thank you for your hard work in preparing these presentations for our parents.

Midnapore Lake

Please note we have a large water area near our back compound.  We are encouraging students to stay away as this is a significant safety hazard.  We have contacted the city to support us and are waiting for a response.  We also request that you send extra clothing in your child’s bag as many students require a change of clothing based on the amount of water in the field.

School Engagement

We know we make better decisions to support student learning when we build understanding and work together. That’s why we will be sharing information about school planning and asking you to share your perspectives. Your opinion helps us make decisions with your child(ren) in mind.

During this engagement, you will have the opportunity to learn about:

  • School planning, which includes our school development plan, school budget and school fees
  • How the school development plan sets the overall focus and direction for a school to improve student learning outcomes
  • How the school budget provides funding to implement our school development plan
  • School fees and why they are necessary

The links to our school engagement survey are below.  If you have time, please complete the survey to ensure your feedback is heard. The survey will not open until March 3 and closes on March 17.

School Conferences

Good morning Midnapore families,

This conference is an opportunity for parents/guardians and teachers to discuss your child's current learning.

Parents can book appointments with teachers via their MyCBE accounts.  At least one parent/legal guardian in every family must have an active account.

Access to book appointments with Teachers will be available from Friday, March 14, 2025, at 12:00pm until Thursday, March 20 at Noon.

Conferences will be held online.   If you prefer to make an alternate arrangement with your child's teacher, please email them directly.

We look forward to celebrating Midnapore students' success. Although online, we are preparing for our Conferences to be student led.  Teachers will be asking you to have your child available during your online conference.
