Dear Families, please view the information below for upcoming events at MIdnapore School

Asian Heritage Month Celebration 🎉🥟🌏

May is Asian Heritage Month! Over the next month, students will be learning about different Asian cultures, including traditional clothing, food, and customs. Our first week’s celebration challenge is for students to wear their traditional outfits on Friday, May 9th. We will have a fun walk through the school to showcase our beautiful clothing and celebrate the diversity in our community! Everyone is welcome to participate!

Elder Jackie Bradley

We are thrilled to welcome Elder Jackie Bradley to Midnapore School.  Elder Jackie will be visiting Midnapore School on Tuesday, May 6th and every class will have an opportunity to work with her throughout the day.  We thank the parent council for allowing our staff and students the opportunity to work through Jackie’s experiences and knowledge.

Hats on For Mental Health – May 7

Every year Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) dedicates a week in May to raise awareness of Mental Health. This year Mental health week will run May 5-11, and Hats On! for Mental Health Day will take place on May 7.

Midnapore students are invited to wear a hat to raise awareness of the importance of good mental health. Participating schools will relax their hat rules and encourage students and teachers to build understanding by wearing hats to school.

Yearbook

Please view the link below for ordering information for our Yearbook.  We have received a school donation that will purchase one yearbook for families in Grades 4 Mandarin, as well as our Grade 6 English program as a graduation gift.
