May 24 is our Annual Volunteer Tea! It will take place from 10:30 - 11:30 AM. We want to share how much we appreciate all of our community members who go out of their way to support our students and their learning here at Midnapore School. Asian Heritage Month

May is Asian Heritage Month in Canada, a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions, experiences, and impact of individuals of Asian heritage in Canada and around the world. We are
incorporating many activities in our learning at Midnapore to celebrate this special month and all the unique cultures our students come from.

Mandarin Program Update

We are excited to share with our community the updates of this week for the Mandarin program. As May unfolds, we embrace the spirit of Asian Heritage Month. As a school, we are planning to engage in various activities to honor the vibrant traditions, histories, and contributions of Asian communities around the world. Our grade 4 students went on an enlightening excursion to Panabaker School this Tuesday, April 30, immersing themselves in an experience that widened their perspectives on what
their junior high school life could look like. They familiarized themselves with the school and participated in activities in Art, Band, Construction, and Food classes. Additionally, we are proud to announce that our grade 4 students have demonstrated their Mandarin abilities by participating in the YCT (Youth Chinese Test), an international standardized test of Chinese language proficiency, showcasing their dedication to language learning.
