Dear Midnapore Families

Welcome back to another school year.  It was great to see so many students and families walking to school and engaging in our school community.  We anticipate many more families to arrive after the long weekend.  Our week ahead messenger is a form of communication we use to update you on exciting learning events that have happened during our week, as well as a preview into the next week.  

We had our Welcome back Assembly today where we welcomed returning and new students and staff to our building.  It was great to see more new faces and an exciting time to meet our 2024/25 staff members.   

All forms are now available on your MyCBE account. 

Fees and Waivers: Fees will be posted on your account in October. If you are applying for a waiver please go ahead and do this now. 

Medical: Please ensure your child’s medical information is up to date with the office. 

Absences: When your child is going to be absent for a day or longer please call the office absence line with the name of your child. Spell your child’s name. The name of your child’s teacher. Your name.  The reason for the absence and duration. 

Energy Club 

We are excited to bring the energy club back to Midnapore School.  Starting September 16, we will be opening doors at 7:30 am for those who would like to energize before instructional time.  We ask that you come as close to 7:30am as possible as we only have a short window for our staff to welcome students in this early.  We are also not able to offer an energy club on Fridays.   

Wasps/Medical Forms/Epi-pens  

We have noticed a high volume of wasps on our school grounds.  We are working with maintenance to limit these interactions with our students.  However, please ensure the office and your child’s teacher are aware if your child has an allergy.  We also ask that you complete a student medical form if you have medication to support these allergies.  

School Council  

We are excited for our first school council meeting for Midnapore School.  Our first meeting is an exciting one as we set the stage for the school year, prioritize our goals and appoint members of the council.  Please join us on September 9 at 6:30 pm through our online meeting so that we can plan our year and appoint new members.  Our other meetings will be a hybrid model where parents will have the option to be in-person or to attend online.  To join our meeting please login through the link below.
