Welcome to a new and exciting school year at Midnapore School! I hope you enjoyed a wonderful summer with family and friends.
We are delighted to welcome back our returning students, staff, and families, and extend a warm greeting to those joining Midnapore for the first time. Our staff at Midnapore School had a wonderful break and are now back preparing for our upcoming school year.

Illness/Medical – If you have a child that requires additional support, please ensure the form is handed in to the office with the medication clearly labeled in a Ziploc bag.
Open House
We are excited to welcome all families to our first meet the teacher evening. On September 25th, we welcome all families to Midnapore school from the hours of 4-6pm. During our open house you will receive a copy of teacher's curriculum plans, meet your child’s teacher, have a tour of the school, and have a chance to purchase supper with our food trucks. We have invited YYC food trucks to the back compound where families can enjoy a lovely evening together.

We are excited to begin another wonderful year of learning Mandarin together! This year, students will continue exploring Chinese culture, traditions, and celebrations while strengthening their Chinese language skills. Our goal is to help them discover new perspectives and experience the joy of learning a new language. Thank you for your ongoing support and for being an important part of our learning community.
Chantal Supporting Midnapore School
We would like to thank Chantal for her work over the past three days where she supported the opening of our 2025-26 school year. Chantal supported our staff and students with Medicine wheel teachings that are connected to our social, health and P.E. curriculum outcomes. Chantal is a great friend to students at Midnapore school, and her support is appreciated. Thank you again to our school council for your contributions to allow for this wonderful residency opportunity.
School Council Meeting
We are excited to host our first school council meeting on Monday, September 8 at Midnapore School. We will be hosting any parent who is interested in joining our school council to attend this meeting. If you would like to learn about the school council, how you can support our school and the purpose of these meetings, we invite you to attend. Doors will open at 6:00pm and the meeting will start at 6:30pm.
School council will also be hosting coffee for our parents that are interested in hearing more about the council. On Monday morning we have members of our council who will be setting up tables on the compound. They invite you to come have a coffee, ask any questions and to learn more about this wonderful opportunity.

Our school needs your help! We have our casino fundraiser coming up and it’s only possible with your support.
There will be many different shifts available throughout the day and overnight. We are only able to collect funds if these positions are fulfilled. It can be anyone (no police clearance required) yourself, grandparents, relatives and friends.
These funds pay for valuable extras for our students, like field trip transportation, artist residences, musical instruments, and our soon-to-be brand-new sound system that we desperately need.

Energy Club
We are excited to offer energy club each year to students and families. This year we will be starting energy club in October. Due to staffing restraints, we will NOT be starting energy club until the month of October. Stay tuned for more information on this.
Demographic Verification Form
Is on your MyCBE account and we ask that you please fill this out so that we can keep your child’s information up to date at all times. Thank you.
Volunteering
Please go to your MyCBE account and get your police clearance done. Once you are cleared this is good for five years. This is in addition to the Annual Volunteer Form that is required by the CBE every year. Your Police clearance will take on average 2 to 6 weeks to complete.
