Picture Day
Please note we have adjusted our Photo Day for MIdnapore School. Pictures and photo day for Midnapore School will now be on October 17 & October 18. This change is to ensure Kindergarten students can participate in this important event.
Mandarin Team Update
Kindergarten friends in Ms. Fan's class had a wonderful and exciting week! We explored new centers like the sand sensory table, a fun fine motor paper cutting station, and a creative monster-building station. In math and Mandarin, we continued to practice counting and showing numbers in playful ways. We took a lovely trip outside to gather treasures from nature to represent numbers 1-10. Some friends found pinecones to show the number 2, while others collected colorful fall leaves, branches, and even apples that had fallen to the ground. It was such a joyful experience being in the crisp autumn air! We also took a moment to lay down and use our five senses to truly enjoy the peaceful fall afternoon.
This week in health, we had an important and colorful lesson on emotions. Each friend got to use paint to express how different feelings look, creating beautiful and meaningful artwork that helped us understand our emotions better. It was a week filled with fun, learning, and connection!
凡老师幼儿园班的小朋友们度过了开心的一周！我们体验了好多新的游戏区域，比如软软的沙盘感官区、有趣的剪纸区，还有创意满满的小怪兽制造区。在数学和中文课上，我们继续练习数数和认数字。我们还去了户外，捡起大自然中的“宝贝”来表示1到10的数字。有的小朋友捡了松果来表示数字2，其他小朋友则找到了五颜六色的秋叶、树枝，甚至还有掉下来的苹果，来表示1到10的数字。小朋友们在秋天清爽的空气里玩耍，学习，感觉特别棒！我们还躺在地上，用五感去感受温暖的秋日下午。
这周的健康课上，我们还学了不同的情绪。每个小朋友都用画笔和颜料画出了自己对情绪的理解，作品既漂亮又有意思，帮助我们更好地表达和认识自己的感受。这真是充满乐趣和收获的一周！
School Council Meeting- October 7
We are excited for our next School council meeting, which will be hosted through a hybrid model at Midnapore School. Doors will open at 6pm and our meeting will start at 6:30 sharp. If families would like to attend online, they can use the link below to attend. We are excited to have a sharing from our Grade 5/6 team who will update us on learnings happening within their classes. We invite all parents who can attend.
Extra Clothes
We would love a donation of boys' and girls' size 5 – 10 pants for emergency purposes. With winter just around the corner we want to ensure our students are always dry. Thank you!
Grade 3-6 Choir (Practice Slides)

Fees
Please be aware that Fees (School Supply Fees etc) will be posted around the middle of this month.
Field Trip Fees
Please note that all field trip fees are due on or preferably before the field trip date.
Fee Waiver
If you are thinking of applying for a waiver that would waive your lunchroom / transportation / school supply fees, please apply now rather than wait. Fee collection normally starts in February for the school year. If you have a waiver then this will avoid any collection on your account. If you need assistance with this, please give us a call at the office. You can apply for this waiver on your MyCBE account under the heading of Fees
Lunch Supervision
Please register your child for lunch supervision. Every child must be registered for security and safety reasons. Please go to your MyCBE account and register there. Lunch sign up includes supervision during the lunch hour for your child while they are eating inside and playing outside. The supervisors have first aid training and also clean the tables, chairs and floors to ensure good hygiene for your child’s wellbeing.
Demographic Verification Form
Is on your MyCBE account and we ask that you please fill this out so that we can keep your child’s information up to date at all times. Thank you.
Volunteering
Please go to your MyCBE account and get your police clearance done. Once you are cleared this is good for five years. This is in addition to the Annual Volunteer Form that is required by the CBE every year. Your Police clearance will take on average 2 to 6 weeks to complete.
