Dear Midnapore Families
Open House
We are excited to welcome all families to our first meeting with the teacher. On September 25, we welcome all families to Midnapore school from the hours of 4-6pm. During our open house you will receive a copy of teacher's curriculum plans, meet your child’s teacher, have a tour of the school, and have a chance to purchase supper with our food trucks. We have invited YYC food trucks to the back compound where families can enjoy a lovely evening together.
Choir
Do you love to sing? Students in Grade 3-6 are welcome to join choir this year. All students in Grades 3-6 are able to join this club. The Midnapore Choir is run by Ms. Morin and is a huge component to the positive culture within our school. Ms. Morin leads our choir through many school events, including celebrations, assemblies and school functions. The first meeting is a chance to try it out before committing to weekly practices. There is no need to sign up, just show up over lunch and have fun.
Healthy Hunger Lunch Updates
Just a friendly reminder—our fun lunch program at Midnapore School kicks off on September 24 and your order needs to be in by September 19! 🎉 Check out the tasty lunches and snacks being offered—there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Our school needs your help! We have our casino fundraiser coming up and it’s only possible with your support.
There will be many different shifts available throughout the day and overnight. We are only able to collect funds if these positions are fulfilled. It can be anyone (no police clearance required) yourself, grandparents, relatives and friends.
These funds pay for valuable extras for our students, like field trip transportation, artist residences, musical instruments, and our soon-to-be brand-new sound system that we desperately need.

Terry Fox
Our Midnapore School Terry Fox run will take place on Friday, September 26. Our Grade 6 students will be leading our classes through a leadership opportunity, where they will engage in conversations with students and support with our inspiration in running for Terry.

Is on your MyCBE account and we ask that you please fill this out so that we can keep your child’s information up to date at all times. Thank you.
Volunteering
Please go to your MyCBE account and get your police clearance done. Once you are cleared this is good for five years. This is in addition to the Annual Volunteer Form that is required by the CBE every year. Your Police clearance will take on average 2 to 6 weeks to complete.
