Dear Midnapore School Families,
What a fantastic start to the 2026–2027 school year!
We want to take a moment to thank our students, families, and staff for helping make these first few weeks such a positive and successful beginning. Our hallways and classrooms are once again filled with energy, curiosity, laughter, and a wonderful sense of community.
It has been exciting to see our students settling into their routines, reconnecting with friends, building new relationships, and embracing the many learning opportunities that this school year has to offer. We are especially proud of the enthusiasm, kindness, and respect our students have demonstrated as they learn, grow, and support one another. Please view important information for the week ahead, as well as for the 2026/27 school year.

We ask that families continue to use our website for upcoming school information. Our school website is updated regularly with key information, including:

Mandarin Team Update
We had a wonderful first week together at Midnapore School! Our Grade One students have been busy learning school and classroom routines and settling into their new learning environment with enthusiasm and excitement.
This week, students enjoyed listening to read-aloud stories in both English and Mandarin as they welcomed the start of a new school year. They learned the song “Rocking in My School Shoes” and created drawings of themselves doing something special in their school shoes on their first day of Grade One.
Students also learned a name song and practiced introducing themselves and learning the names of their classmates. In Mandarin, they began exploring Chinese characters by learning to recognize and write basic strokes and practicing proper stroke order.
It has been a joyful and productive beginning to the school year, and we look forward to all the learning and growing ahead!
