Dear Midnapore Families,  

It is safe to say that we can all agree that we have had above normal temperatures this month. It is also safe to say that Winter showed up quickly and is here to stay. Please ensure your child has proper clothing. There were many young children today without snow pants, hats, or gloves.  When students are not dressed appropriately, we are unable to have them participate outside.  We have extra jackets, gloves, and hats to support your child, but they are always most comfortable with their own.  

**A reminder that there is no school tomorrow as it is a professional learning day for our staff. ** 

Increase in illness/Student absence  

Please remember to phone the school if your child is away. We also encourage families to keep their child at home when they are not feeling well. Additionally, when your child is sick, we must have an adult available to pick them up.  Please contact the school with additional phone contacts who could be available to support you.  We will continue to contact the parent guardian when your child is sick and appreciate your support in being prompt to have someone pick them up.  

2024-2025 Kindergarten Registration: 

2024-2025 Kindergarten registration will open on January 15, 2024. Kindergarten students must be 5 years by December 31, 2024.  At least one legal guardian must reside in the Midnapore area.  Families interested in the Mandarin Program are also invited to register or to attend our open house information session on January 11, 2023. All registration must be completed online via your MyCBE account for parents with children in the CBE and via School Engage for new families to the CBE.    

Midnapore School Open House 

We are excited to share that our Midnapore School Open house date has now been announced.  Those families interested in learning about our school for next year are invited to attend our Open house on January 11th from 6-7:30pm.  This invitation is for our English and Mandarin Programming and is for those potential new students in Grades K, and 1.  Please view our attached invitation or the link for more information.  Open House Information 

Mandarin Program Update  

2024 Chinese New Year tickets and letter are coming home on Monday, Dec.11 

Our Chinese New Year concert this year will be on Thursday, Feburary.8th  6:30pm at Harold Panabaker School. We are going to celebrate the year of the dragon.  Each family will receive two tickets on Monday Dec.11. Please return any tickets you do not need to your child's teacher by Tuesday, January 9th 2024. If you are interested in extra tickets for the concert, please read the letter on Monday and fill out the bottom portion of the ticket form. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher.   

2024龙年春节晚会门票和邀请函 

我们今年的龙年春节晚会将会于2024年2月8日晚六点半在Harold Panabaker 学校举行。由于学校的体育馆容纳有限，每一个家庭将会收到两张门票。如果您和家人在安排好行程后发现有余票，请于一月九日之前把多余门票还给老师。如果您需要更多的门票，请填写周一送回家的表格。 如果您有任何问题，请联系您的孩子的老师。
