Dear Midnapore Families,  

We would like our first message of the week to acknowledge our amazing parent of Midnapore School.  From all of the staff at Midnapore school we thank you for your efforts at our casino this week.  We had many parents volunteer their time and support the council funds for our staff and students.  Your time and efforts will help support field trips, technology, residencies, learning resources, and many other learning opportunities for your child.  Thank you again for all that you do, we are so grateful to have you!!!!!!!  

Please view our upcoming spirit days listed below.  If you’re able to, we encourage students to participate but always share that these are optional activities.

Winter Celebration – Stuff a Sock 

Our Midnapore School Winter Celebration will work alongside our Midnapore School Humility School-Wide project.  On December 21 from 1:00-3:30, we are welcoming all families to attend this event.  Families will have a chance to pack socks, do a classroom activity, and see our Winter celebration assembly with the following schedule: 

Group 1- K, 1, 2 

Group 2- 3, 4, 5, 6  

1-1:30- K, 1, 2 Performance in the gym 

1-1:30- 3, 4, 5, 6 in Classrooms (Stuffing Socks) 

Switch 
 

1:45- 2:15- 3, 4, 5, 6 Performance in the gym 

1:45-2:15- K, 1, 2 in Classrooms (Stuffing Socks) 

 

• Please have your child bring items into the classroom before or the day of to pack a sock with you.  You will have a chance to participate with your child in their homeroom to do our “Stuff a sock” activity, as well as have an opportunity to watch your child in our winter celebration concert. All stuffed socks will be delivered to the Mustard Seed prior to the Winter break. We have purchased all of the socks, and we have some extra items as needed.  Please bring any items on the list below that may support those less fortunate:

If you’re unable to attend during school hours we welcome those families to join us in the gym when they pick up their child to stuff a sock.  We are excited to be serving a hot drink for families and would love to have all families join us for this community event.  

Midnapore School Open House 

We are excited to share that our Midnapore School Open house date has now been announced.  Those families interested in learning about our school for next year are invited to attend our Open house on January 11th from 6-7:30pm.  This invitation is for our English and Mandarin Programming and is for those potential new students in Grades K, and 1.  Please view our attached invitation or the link for more information.  Open House Information 

Kindergarten is Coming to Town!  

2024-2025 Kindergarten registration will open on January 15, 2024.  Kindergarten students must be 5 years by December 31, 2024.  At least one legal guardian must reside in Midnapore unless you are interested in our BIlingual Mandarin Program.  All registration must be completed online via your MyCBE account for parents with children in the CBE and via School Engage for new families to the CBE.
