School Council Meeting

We will be hosting our February School Council Meeting on:

  • Monday, February 9, 2026
  • Time: 6:30 PM
  • Format: Online meeting only

All Midnapore parents are encouraged to attend. During this meeting, we will engage with our parent community around school engagement. The presentation will focus on:

  • School fees
  • Our School Development Plan
  • Opportunities for parents to share feedback on school planning

Valentine’s Day

Although Valentine’s Day falls on a weekend this year, classrooms will be engaging in individual class activities to encourage and promote kindness within our school.

  • Please do not send candy to school.
  • Students will participate in a school-wide Caring Activity, giving everyone the opportunity to share a message of kindness with a fellow student or staff member.

Lunar New Year Celebration – Year of the Horse

Lunar New Year is quickly approaching, and we are excited to celebrate the Year of the Horse!

Students in our Mandarin Program have been working very hard to prepare a special day of dancing, cultural songs, and performances. We are pleased to invite Mandarin Program families to attend our Lunar New Year Celebration:

  • Thursday, February 26
  • Time: 1:00 PM
  • Location: Midnapore School

On the same day, students will also perform for our English Program at 10:00 AM. This performance is for students only.

Mandarin Program Message

Our Grade 1 students have been practicing oral storytelling using picture prompts, sentence patterns, and vocabulary they have learned. They have also continued practicing songs and dances in preparation for our Chinese New Year celebration.

Families are invited to attend our Chinese New Year Celebration:

  • Doors Open: 12:45 PM

我们一年级的学生们通过图片提示进行口头故事表达练习，运用已学过的句型和词汇。同时，我们也继续练习农历新年庆祝活动中的歌曲和舞蹈。 

请家长在日历中标注：2月26日下午1:00在美纳博小学举行的农历新年家长庆祝活动， 12:45开始进场。
